下载FirefoxOn March 11th, 10 members of the Young Volunteer
Association of the School of Life Sciences participated in the voluntary
services for the PKU 2010 On-campus Job Recruiting Fair held in the badminton
gymnasium of the May 4th Sports Center, under the organization of the Youth
League Committee of the department and guidance from its secretary, Tang Ping.
The 10 volunteers are either senior or freshman students, who have done their
job well and provided over 60 hours of service.
The volunteers’ main
responsibilities before the job fair were to help employers set up their
exhibition. During the fair, they helped provide guidance, consultation, and
maintain orders. Their enthusiasm and work ethics were well received by both
employers and other participating students.
All participant students felt
benefited from this voluntary experience. Cui Yuan, a senior volunteer, viewed
this job fair as a great format to bridge employers with college graduates.
This face-to-face format saves time and also very effective. Zhao Yun, the
freshman volunteer, found himself enjoyed every much the voluntary experience,
learned quite a bit regarding the off-campus society, and accumulated some
knowledge and experience for his future career after graduation.
